If you want to work in the world of kitesurfing, then the assistant course is your first step. If you do not fancy working as an assistant you can shortly after take the instructor course. Or just d.o this course for fun and learn more about kitesurfing in general.

Maayke has trained over 50 assistants in the languages: English, German, Dutch and Italian. Lake Garda is a great place for doing kitesurf course because of the reliable winds.
Prerequisites for IKO assistant course:
- Be at least 16 years old
- Have a riding level equivalent to IKO Kiteboarder Level 4 – Advanced*
- Have an IKO account ‘Kiter Free’
- Be fluent (reading, writing, speaking and general understanding) in the language thatthe course is given

* You can record a video of you demonstrating the required skills before the course, in case there is not enough wind to do the riding test. Your Assistant Trainer will use it to check your level.
