Mika was so kind to let me tell something about my great Vietnam adventure on the Wind Riders website.

For my internship during my sportmanagement study I headed of to lake Garda in spring 2010. I started kiting, became an Iko-assistant, and ended as a IKO-kitesurfinstructor  in 6 months time. Now, almost 2 years later after my adventure at Windriders, I’m at the best kitespot of Vietnam.

Mui Ne!

The conditions for kitesurfing are really good overhere! De wind is blowing here almost every day from 10 until 35 knots and more. With mainly sideshorewind the spot is good for waveriding and the  watertemperature is around twenty degrees.

Next to that is Mui Ne a really nice place to stay en therefore   well known by backpackers. There are a lot of restaurants and bars around en there are enough possibilities to experience other events besides kitesurfing. The White and Red Sanddunes, the stunning fishing village and even the Mekong Delta is reachable from Mui Ne. Life in Vietnam is quite cheap. Breakfast, lunch and dinner doesn’t have to cost you more than 7 euro’s a day.

Do you want to learn kitesurfing this European Winter I can definitely reccomd you Mui Ne. Also for het more experienced riders this place is an excellent for a kite holiday.
